5 Tips to Generate 100,000 Page Views During the First 3 Months of Your Blog

May 10, 2013: 0 Page Views. This blog's birthday. Fast forward to yesterday.

Woohoo! I hit 100,000 page views, with 9 days to spare before my 3 month anniversary. I am happy but hungry of course, LOL. Because I want to improve my blog traffic, ad revenue and build my brand too. Note; reaching 100K views is not easy, especially if you want to reach these numbers during your blog’s infancy. If however you wish to bust your tail, you can do it too.

1. Know Why

You know why I do what I do. Why I work like an animal to grow my online business. I like freedom. I travel the world. Flying back from Costa Rica as I write this post, and I must say, living the internet lifestyle to the hilt is a blessing, but you need to be driven. Your WHY must be greater than your excuses to do insane things in the online realm.

2. Post 2 or More Time Daily****

OK, here are the astericks. I want to be special. I want to be like, well, I want Ryan Biddulph to be KNOWN. So I post more than twice daily. I create 1 minute long videos, along with a few text posts…..and….I…post….30 or more times daily. My blog is more like cnn.com – a trusted online business NEWS resource – than a “blog.” I have so many ideas, I simply need to let God work through me, without getting in the way by making excuses ;) Push yourself. Prosper.

3. Join Tribes

Tribes expand your presence pronto If you struggle to generate significant traffic try joining tribes. I saw page views to the tune of 3600 views daily a few weeks back before Triberr restricted shared posts a few weeks back. Now I am good money for 2000 views daily. I work like hell, but I also share other people’s content through tribes to help ‘em out and expand my own presence too.

4. Revisit WHY

OK, here is the point where you tell yourself, it makes so sense to post more than once a day, or joining tribes is a waste of time. Identify your WHY again. Do you want to make a few bucks? Or build a nice tribe? Or make a ding in the Universe, as Steve Jobs said? I prefer the ding option ;), because I know if I push myself, and have a LOAD of fun doing it, I can inspire so many people to crush their obstacles. Revisit your WHY. Do you want financial freedom, or freedom to travel the world, or do you want to leave your job, to spend time at home with your family? Picture the vision. Build the emotion. Crush resistance.

5. Go Heavy on Content Light on Ads

I visit a few blogs each day. Some go mad on ads and light on content. Attract more visitors by posting popular post widgets, and related posts widgets on your blog. Linking up keeps visitor’s fannies on your website. They stick around, click some links and boost your page views.

3 Tips to Dissolve Your Wicked Attachment to Stats

Oh my goodness! I freaked. Again and again. For the longest time I wickedly attached myself to stats, metrics, word counts and page counts. Finally I got fed up of this stressful, stupid, worry-some approach to running an online business.

I would cry or get angry or outright rage-ful if my opt-ins fell off, or my page views, or my subscribers, or if my cash flow dwindled to pennies, through various online channels.

This was many years ago, this horrible time of being a slave to stats. Thank goodness I kicked a terrible, ridiculous habit.

Now I check metrics here and there. I focus my energies on: creating and connecting.

How can you dissolve your terrible attachment? Try :

  • laughing a lot more
  • creating
  • connecting

1. Laughing a Lot More

Haha! Hahahahahahahaha.....LOL.

I no longer need to hit specific numbers each night or day. I am light, calm and confident. Most people, they treat the online business thing with a life-death mindset.

Only life and death are life and death. Stop ice-grilling it. Laugh! Detach. Laugh again. Lighten up. Why take the ride of life unless you are willing to enjoy it, right??

2. Creating

Creating moves your attention from outcomes to...well....creating....adding value...all that stuff that insane people like the former me...lol....ignored.

I mean I created, but I worried. I fretted. I checked metrics daily, hourly, trying to game the system.

I decided to create and detach. Help people. My problems disappeared after focusing on other people, NOT my stats or my online business.

3. Connecting

This is another good one. Focusing your attention on others, again, by:

  • promoting other people's blogs aggressively, sharing their content on multiple social networks like Facebook, twitter and Google Plus
  • Posting helpful, valuable and in depth comments on blogs; yep, stuff which increases the value of the post, and powers up the connection of the bond between you 2
  • Stopping in on social networks; I chat with my buddies a few times a week, through various social channels.
Follow these steps. Detach from stats.

Are you heavily attached to stats?

Or do you have a healthy relationship with metrics?

How can you better view your metrics or stats?

Why Content Marketing?

If you are sick of being force fed content marketing advice, blogging tips, video marketing insights and newsletters How To's, well, get used to it ;) Content marketing is here to stay. If you fully embrace the reasons I am ready to list you will never go a day without creating 1, 2 or even 5 pieces of content.

Why should you use content marketing to build your online business:

  • content is a quick and easy medium through which you can reach prospects
  • content is free to create; well, you do need to spend your time but hey, you ALWAYS have to pay something, to get something, whether it is time or money
  • content helps you to connect with targeted readers; building content around a niche specific keyword or key phrase sets up bait which targeted prospects want to sink their teeth in to

OK, so there are a few reasons why content marketing rocks. How can you create a solid content marketing campaign?

Be Creative

We have seen the same old re-hashed topics hundreds of times online. Put a twist on the old and worn out. The topics need not change but presenting the themes from a different perspective might just put you over the top.

Be a creative dynamo. Put out content persistently to foster your creativity.

Be Persistent

Flash in the pan types never do much online; here today and gone tomorrow. Persistent, driven individuals stand out from the content marketing crowd. Show up daily. Be persistent. Find out why you want to make money online. Hold the reason near and dear to your heart.

Get going!

Study Pros

Study creative dynamos. Prolific people share a glimpse into how you can become a content creation machine yourself.

Stop trying to be perfect. Write a 300 or 400 word, content-rich, helpful post now. No need to write a masterpiece; simply create usable, helpful content to grow your online business.

3 Tips to Improve Your Internet Marketing Campaign

Building a successful marketing campaign adds a passive element to your online business. Leads flow in through google, facebook and other well-traveled networks because your discipline now pays big dividends in the future.

Practical tips rock. The most simple tips can make or break your online business. Be persistent and consistent in speaking a valuable, helpful message to your target audience. Prospects will knock down your door to buy your product.

Online Business: Be Consistent

Consistent marketers become successful. Speak the same message. If you run an online business share content related to running an online business. Easy peasey, really, because consistency programs people to buy. Or opt in. Or subscribe. Or to become a stark-raving fan.

Run your online business intelligently. Be consistent.

Create Value

Create value to attract value. Market from a valuable space, helping people with your frequent updates through newsletters, or blog posts, or videos. People gravitate to value. Be on the lookout for folks from your niche who need solutions. How?

Solve problems, again and again. People need help generating leads for their online business. Bingo! Create a free ebook giveaway, or blog posts, or paid product teaching how to generate leads.

Stop Leaving What Works

Stop leaving what works. Your proven system might not create a fortune overnight. So be patient. Be calm. Be disciplined. Be in the moment; stop leaving what works.

Write blog posts. Promote other bloggers. Make connections. Take these steps daily. Patience, grasshopper.

Do you use these tips to market your online business?

Online Business Training: 3 Tips to Keep You on Topic

Confused online business entrepreneurs never reach their goals. Why? You cannot hit but you never aimed for.

By staying on topic you can reach your goals. Quickly, in most cases. I admit, sometimes I stray from my topic but generally I remain true to my audience because:

  • I like generating laser targeted leads
  • I like finding people who need my ghostwriting services
  • I like generating a higher payout per ad click
  • I like serving people who need my assistance

Hitting your target is a breeze. Use these 3 tips to get on purpose, pronto.

Check Your Title and Tagline

By looking up top I can see: I better share online business tips and it might not hurt if I show myself traveling the world, here and there.

Since I post topical photos with each article, later on I will add travel pictures to my sidebar, as I do on my other blogs.

Adding a personal touch - and referenced touch, as noted above - helps drive targeted online business prospects to your website.

Work at home entrepreneurs showed up for online business tips. Serving personal development tips might be a bit confusing, because if you showed up for steak but was served fish....well....confusion, and an unsatisfied customer.

Why?

Ask the question before you write posts to generate more cash online quickly.

Why write a post? What topic are you covering AND what is your ultimate goal?

Since I am providing online business training, and I note the "online business" keyword a few times,  and I underline the keyword, and bold it out, I attract online business prospects.

If I wrote about self help, I would do the same for self help.

Stick to your online niche by asking, "Why"?

Wait around for the answer. Never ask and rush to the next step.

By answering honestly you can change your life dramatically!

Line All Your Widgets Up

Do your widgets line up? By this I mean does your sidebar line up and run off of your theme?

Make sure your list freebie, your images, your ads and your offerings line up; for me, my widgets better scream "online business", or else I confuse my readers and they exit stage left.

Your blog - and each component - should speak a loud and clear work at home message.

If I gave away inspirational ebooks to build my list I lose my audience.

Because people are here to get online business tips or work at home insight, not self help tips.

Spread yourself thin and you might just ruin your blog. Concentrate your efforts on 1 area, or niche.

Where you attention and energy goes, grows, right?

Do you keep things on topic?

Or do you struggle with this aspect of blogging?

Please share your thoughts in the comments section below.

My Encounter with a Slimeball in Puntarenas and What it Teaches You About Running an Online Business

I think I was slimed...

I ran into a slimeball named Franciso in Puntarenas, Costa Rica earlier today.

If you happen to visit the bus station in Puntarenas, stay away from him!

Anway, he charged Kelli and I $40 for a 10 minute taxi ride, which he said was roughly 15 miles.

15 miles turned into a few miles, and 10 minutes, and $40 later, we were at another bus station, which would take us directly to our destination of choice.

Obviously the man was dishonest. People without – and people with – money do silly, dishonest, karmic crapstorm generating things, when they feel like they can get away with raping people, like:
·

  • Overcharging on a ridiculous level; the taxi ride should have cost $5, but of course we were new here and had no idea where we were going or what we were going to be charged….because our direct bus, it turns out, was not direct….so $40 it was
  • Seizing an opportunity to take advantage of someone who does not know the territory·
  • Spitting in someone’s face – metaphorically of course – after taking them for a ride; he asked me for a tip, I told him he was “mal hombre”, and dismissed his sorry ass lol….

OK online business entrepreneurs; to all my travel buddies who chance upon Puntarenas, Costa Rica, stay away from Francisco at the bus terminal.

He is a shifty one hahahaha….that, is lesson one.

Once You Lose Your Online Business Reputation You Will Never Get it Back

I have MANY friends who travel and quite a few who want to visit Costa Rica.
Puntarenas is oft-visited but here is the catch; the bus station is not heavily worked.

This will stick out like a sore thumb.

Knowing how karma works, and how word spreads on traveler forums, you can your bottom dollar folks will hear Francisco’s  name and avoid him like the plague.

Same deal with your business. Once you lose your reputation by being dishonest, or overcharging, or doing anything deceitful, once somebody outs you, the word spread and people avoid you like the plague.

Tell the truth. Be honest.

You Cannot Escape Karma

Sure, you just told someone that making $1000 per week is easy. Especially once you plug into a system for like 2 weeks.

So you part this individual from their money. Great. Only 1 thing; you cannot escape karma.

Karma will catch up with you, just like it will catch up with my good buddy Francisco ;)

Again, I know many folks who are interested in going to Costa Rica, and I have quite a travel network…..Betcha old Franny boy never thought things would come back to him in this way ;) And that is just me, for karma keeps her own silent counsel J

Thank Crooks for Being Your Best Teacher

I can laugh now and write a funny post because Francisco taught me a lesson in what NOT to do, to grow my online business.

Do your best job. Tell the truth. Stop lying, or trying to cheat people.

There is a reason why I am traveling the world and an equally clear reason Francisco is running scams in Puntarenas.

He fears going broke; I am a  firm believer in karma.

So I am living the dream and he on some level, a nightmare, because the only people who blatantly cheat others are deathly afraid of something, namely going-being broke.

On a side note, Francisco, although a slimeball for doing what he did, is not really a bad, bad man.

Most people are good folks, inherently, and we have almost always met friendly, helpful, honest people during our travels.

But some lose their moral compass and although they might feel victorious in the moment, karma hits ‘em in the gut ;)

How have you had a similar experience traveling?

How can you better service individuals who want your help?

Please share this post with your friends!
